Jason Reynolds is a masterful storyteller and Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks doesn’t disappoint. I liked all the stories in this book, but I LOVED the second story the most.

It was funny and I like that it was a new story every day. Heartfelt, soaring, fast-break story of loss and growth. Which is especially rare in work for young people. In between those two chapters, there was real depth in personality and I hope that readers of this book start to think about what it might be like to walk in the shoes of kids like these.
