It rapidly devolved into what I would call a "feminist narrative on modern society", first by painting a satirical image of "the man", a boy with privilege and all the good things in life coming easy to him simply because he's male, contrasted to "the woman", a girl who is no different but has always been denied acceptance and love for things that were not her fault and because she was a girl. This could be happening because the movie revolves more around psychological and emotional aspects of both dragons and humans insted of bloody wars and fights as you would see in, for example, game of thrones. Meghan returns with a horde of Vikings and wants to be Queen as she has the right of the first born.

Having been playing fantasy roleplaying games since around 1986 and up to 2019, then of course with a movie such as "Dragonheart: Battle for the Heartfire" is just something that has to be watched. I usually watch this sort of thing to enjoy the flaws, and luckily soon after the credits it really starts to deliver on that front. Between his father spending most of his time helping Drago and his mother dying after her bonded dragon's death, Walter became disillusioned with dragons and ran away. Absolute sludge. Despite their appearances, their father Walter keeps them in his care. On one hand they needed to spend more time with the development of the early story, but the mid story dragged. Edric sends Meghan away so the villagers cannot kill her for being a witch as she has a talent for manipulating fire. Drago leaves the capital and finds that his heart is now bound to Edric, the male twin who possesses enhanced strength and uses it to serve as a sheriff for the shire of Earl Roberts. After the king dies Drago (voice of Patrick Stewart) must find the one with whom his heart is bonded with. Much of the action was predictable and the story was all too similar to many others. For a movie with low budget, it was pretty decent ! If you had told me this movie had come out in 2017 i would've called you a liar. There is something about captain Picard voicing a dragon that I don't know.....DOESN'T WORK.
