In this way, the new schedule is quite different from the semestered system used at most Ontario public high schools. We want to see our students thrive, not just while they are with us, but also as they pursue their passions at university and beyond—good, caring people equipped to do amazing things. It includes thinking that emphasizes a student-centred learning approach and schedule that will deliver the learning outcomes outlined in our strategic plan.
We believe that our small, caring community and approach to educating teenagers is like no other; that young people learn and mature best when their individuality is respected and they feel happy and safe.

I see it rather as a gift to those of us who are provided additional time to devote to our passions, and for those of us who feel discomfort, as it is truly an opportunity for growth.
