Inkspell is the second novel in Cornelia Funke's Inkheart trilogy.The first novel, Inkheart (2003), was critically acclaimed and was made into a major motion picture released in January 2009. Honestly I'd hoped for better.

Elinor Loredan is a plump, elderly lady that lives in Italy. I totally like Cornelia funke.. but this was just too draggy and boring for me.

Nothing happens for a long time and, when something does happen, it's just too sudden, out of nowhere, and it finished quickly. It is rare for the last instalment in a trilogy to be the best one, but [I am not sure how I felt about Meggie and Doria but I guess I was okay with it, since everyone got the happy ending they deserved in the Inkworld I absolutely LOVED this one! Grief didn't break women. Because of the violence and difficult vocabulary of the story it is best suited for young adults and adults.
