The fantastical elements were a turn off initially, however, all the creatures are tied to African folklore so it works in this universe. Storm attempts to use her powers to slow the plane down but fails to as the jet crashes.
T'Challa shows himself to be the manipulative, controlling king that we all know and love.
Having said that though I think I'm starting to enjoy this run. More superhero comics need to be about such issues. It misses the origin of the originators--provided in the previous volume--but it clearly tells the story of their defeat and of the cabal that had combined to take on Wakanda, Tchalla, and his allies.
As soon as T'Challa and Namor part ways, the former's path to his personal jet is blocked by Doom himself and a squad of Doombots. Namor informs him of the "Cabal" Norman Osborn had formed, including Namor himself, Loki, Emma Frost, the Hood and Doctor Doom.

Ta-Nehisi Coates is the author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Klaw is an intriguing villain and is given a great deal of backstory to make him almost worth rooting for. Edit. Swooning aside, this was filled with action and great storytelling.Less philosophy, more action - Ta-Nehisi Coates finally produces a Black Panther volume that reads like a comic book rather than a non-fiction treatise on political philosophies. Edit. Previous Issue. Enough with the "multiverse is exploding/expanding/merging" crap. $12.09 . Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. More superhero comics need to be about such issues. I look forward to getting a hardcover collection of multiple issues and see how it flows. Klaw takes the opportunity to strike mimicking those Originators, but there is something bigger than Klaw at work. I really enjoy that so many characters really get a chance to shine in the final battle. Apple. I thoroughly enjoyed this volume. =A strong improvement over "A Nation Under My Feet" which featured strong politicraft--but wasn't necessarily a good comic (it was someone clearly learning the ropes and balancing the synthesis of words with images). Ankea gets almost half a book to herself in absolute silence, being a BAMF.
I am also glad that they are keeping Storm and Black Panther's relationship intact, because I was always a fan of those two being together.Slightly less boring than the usual Coates stories.A strong improvement over "A Nation Under My Feet" which featured strong politicraft--but wasn't necessarily a good comic (it was someone clearly learning the ropes and balancing the synthesis of words with images).
T'Challa must defend his country from within - but with his hands full, who will come to Ayo and Aneka's aid? Joe Quesada.
I love the philosophical angle, but it needs to be fleshed out with more action to be comics!Strong improvement! well, 2.5-3 stars.
Also Shuri is a complete badass!
Reginald Hudlin. Publisher . I keep having trouble following Ta-Nehisi Coates's run on Black Panther.
August, 2009. VC's Cory Petit.
Ken Lashley. Part of the 'Dark Reign' event. Colourist.
He mutters that he was ambushed before passing out. I love the philosophical angle, but it needs to be fleshed out with more action to be comics!I am probably really biased but I love Storm so this one gets an extra star from me. Black Panther Vol 3 #6 "Hunted" Cover date: April, 1999.
Edit.
The Black Panther's greatest foe has returned, ready for war! Colourist. But he is just one part of a larger challenge that Wakanda faces and it will take both their mastery over technology and magic to restore the proper balance to things. Despite that, Coates is a strong writer, and he is doing impressive things with this character. That silent issue was especially excellent, and showed that he finally understood how comics work. Despite getting a part two label--perhaps because the same super-powered supporting cast is around to participate?--this one stands alone about as well as any of Coates' books have. [ themselves were colonizers.
